Appearance: ♦ Harleen is, in simple terms, easy on the eyes. With blonde hair that falls just below her shoulders and blue eyes to match, her smile is seductive or innocent, all depending on what she wants from you - but don't be fooled, that pretty little mouth can turn into a frown in no time flat. Her skin is slightly pale and kept flawless; a girl is nothing with her looks, after all. Her body is shapely in all the right places, agile and lean; she is relatively short at 5'3.

Personality: ♦ Harleen is an extremely expressive person who feels things strongly and with vigor. When she's happy, everyone around her is happy - and when she's miserable, they are, too. She's affectionate and personable, loyal and jovial - but when angered, she is a force to be reckoned with. Though she tends to be naive, she is not completely innocent, if she is somewhat childish; she knows what she wants and will do whatever it takes to get it, even if that requires... going beyond the realm of what other's morality determines is acceptable, including using her looks and appearance to her advantage.

While playful and light-hearted, she also has a darker side of unpredictability and venomous temper. Dedicated and determined, she is the perfect persona to see things she deems worthy through to the end, no matter the cost to those around her. She is manipulative and sometimes petty, but will set both of those facets of her personality aside in order to get things done when necessary.

Abilities: ♦ Extremely limber and agile, Harleen is the perfect gymnast and acrobat. She's got excellent aim with a gun, having learned from her father at a young age, and daily trips to the shooting range. She knows how to manipulate - particularly men who have a soft spot for eye candy - and plays the game of seduction well.

History: ♦ For the most part, Harleen's life hasn't been very difficult or noteworthy at all.

She grew up in a relatively normal household with two working parents who raised her in the typical fashion; she was popular in school and made friends quickly and easily. As the years passed, she showed an interest in gymnastics and was enrolled into a regular program; by the time she hit high school, it was obvious that hers was more than a passing talent. She was granted a full scholarship to the renowned Gotham University upon graduating high school - but Harley wanted more. She wanted fame and prestige; she enrolled herself into the Psychological Department.

It became clear that she had neither the focus nor attention span required to fulfill her duties and see this new 'calling' to it's fruition, despite having the intelligence necessary to do so had she applied herself. Her final thesis was flawed and she was giving failing marks. Harleen wasn't about to simply let her dreams die there, however - she seduced her professor and slept her way into an impressive grade that put her at the top of her class.

It was then she was granted the one thing she'd truly wanted, securing the next stepping stone to her dream of fame and recognition - an internship at the Arkham Asylum.

It didn't take long for the notorious Joker to catch her eye - and her, his, though his reasons were considerably different than hers. He ended up seducing her, seeing her as plaything, a beautiful joke - corrupting and twisting the mind of a woman like her was comedy gold. It didn't take too much; Harleen was naive in all the right places and melted right into his palm. Before she knew it, she was utterly infatuated - and next thing she knew, she was wringing her hands in worry after the Joker had made an escape.

He remained at large for a week before being hauled back to the Asylum by none other than the Caped Crusader. Batman had roughed him up, of course; seeing him in such a state made something inside of her utterly snap. It was that night that she became the infamous criminal now known as none other but Harley Quinn, breaking out her boy and running amok on Gotham City ever since.

False memories: ♦ Much of Harleen's life remains a mirror to her upbringing within Gotham City, with the simple alteration of her surroundings being those, instead, of Terra. Upon her entrance into High School, however, things begin to take a different course.

Harleen's interest into psychology does not spring out of nowhere. It is here that she witnesses her first true crime with her own two eyes. It's a much different sort of thing than reading about it in the papers, or seeing a watery-eyed testimony on television; her reaction to seeing a man being strewn up by his intestines by a ceiling fan, left to spin in that static circle is not what she would've expected.

She had stared, unable to look away. Beneath the fingers she'd used to cup her hands over her mouth, she had been maniacally smiling. Fascinated. Exhilarated. Despite the fact she as witnessing her gymnastic coach being murdered from the safety of the man's office closet, she wasn't afraid. She hadn't for a moment feared for her life should she be discovered and outed. Instead, she found herself, instead, wondering how one could go about in such a cold, calculating way as they gutted another human being like a cow in a slaughter house. It stirred something in her she hadn't known had ever existed.

After her graduation, she was offered a full scholarship via the gymnastics program - her coach's death hadn't deterred her from pursuing her goals, after all - and much as in her 'true' life, she had pursued her dreams of becoming a criminal psychologist, taking on an internship at the Asylum.
